Back in February, I was lucky enough to attend a breakfast event with Bioderma to sample a few of their new products early. The new range I got to play with was the Pigmentbio. At the breakfast, a clinical Dr spoke to us about hyperpigmentation and the science behind it which was amazing to understand so I could see how these Bioderma products would work.

According to Bioderma, “Pigmentbio has been created to target hyperpigmentation and dull skin, whether it’s caused through age, sun exposure, pollution, hormonal imbalances, acne scars, pregnancy mask or genetic predisposition.”

The Pigmentbio contains 3 vitamins that act together to strengthen the skin’s barrier: Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin PP. In addition, it was explained to us how these products work through targeting 3 biological stages which create the hyperpigmentation we see in our skin:
- Inflammation – Glabridine reduces inflammation that is involved in the melanogenesis process.
- Production – Andrographolide and Azelaic Acid limit melanin production by inhibiting tyrosinase.
- Elimination – Epidermactiv™ boosts skin cell renewal by removing cells full of melanin.
I have to admit hyperpigmentation is not something I overly struggle with apart from some acne scarring. I have been using the Sebium range for several months to tackle my spots and blemishes and have been loving it. I have however, now also introduced several of these hyperpigmentation products into my routine to assist with the damage of London pollution and also to help fix the scarring.
I got to take away 3 products from the event and are pictured above: Foaming cream, Daily Care and C-Concentrate. These three products are not all that the range contains, with a total of 5 products:
- PigmentbioFoaming Cream – £15
- Pigmentbio H2O – £10.80
- Pigmentbio Daily Care SPF 50+ – £18.50
- PigmentbioC-Concentrate – £23
- Pigmentbio Night Renewer – £20
… and the good news is that you also can get hold of this range, as it available TODAY (April 1st) on Escentual. I hope if hyperpigmentation is a concern of yours, then I have shared with you a new product range to try and to help out!
