Last weekend I visited the new Balmain afternoon tea at Sofitel St James for the launch weekend event.
This afternoon tea is available until 3rd March and is a Balmain fan’s dream. The Rose Lounge features beautiful Balmain outfits as well as incredible illustrations by Z2 Comics. The afternoon tea is a celebration of Olivier’s 10 years as creative director of Balmain, where he has created the most stunning collections.
The menu features a more unusual take on a classic tea with savoury dishes including pulled pork gyoza, leek and potato soup, with sweet dishes being very inspired by the Balmain collections as seen with the design on the macaron.
After the tea I was taken up to a suite in the hotel to view the highly collectable (1 of 3 in the world!) Balmain x Z2 Comics book, as well as explore more of the Balmain collections.
